Contextual Statement

The Hinckley School and Sixth Form was formed in 2022 and is a comprehensive academy with a Year 7 to 13 intake. The previously named Hinckley Academy was placed in Special Measures in May 2018 and joined The Futures Multi-Academy Trust in December 2020. There are approximately 1200 students on roll, with 300 students in Years 12 and 13. Students in this cohort were generally encouraged to follow three subjects to A-level, chosen from a wide range of A-level and BTEC courses, with a small proportion studying four subjects in Year 12. Students can opt to join the EPQ programme starting in May of Year 12.
