Entry Requirements

At The Hinckley Sixth Form we offer a variety of traditional academic A Levels and alternative qualifications which students can mix to create a bespoke pathway tailored to their future. We will work with you to ensure your study programme suits your skills, interests and aspirations for the future. 

Our entry requirements are five GCSE passes at grade 5 to 9, including English and Maths. Most subjects also have additional entry requirements, there to help you to choose subjects that will suit your skills. Students who do not meet entry requirements on Results Day will be invited to attend our ‘Clearing Clinic’ as they may be able to access some of our Level 3 courses.  

Most students study three subjects. However some, who have achieved high grades at GCSE and who would find it useful for their future plans, study four subjects from the start of Year 12. Our expert team will work with you to ensure that your subjects are the best fit for your future.
